Once Red Ant has prepared a production build for your application, it will be submitted to Apple for approval. Once approved and released to App Store Connect, your Red Ant team will advise you that you can begin the process to roll out the latest version to all devices within your network.
This article outlines the steps that you will need to take to complete the roll-out.
Note! This process requires an MDM solution to execute.
Log into the appropriate Apple Business Management account for your application
- Locate the app you wish to release under "Custom Apps" and select this app
- Before you can roll out the build via MDM, you will need to purchase a license for each device you wish to deploy the app to (Note! - Purchasing licenses is always FREE and this step will only need to be repeated if you require additional licenses in the future)

Select ‘Managed’ from the ‘License Type’ dropdown

Select your organisation name from the ‘Assign to’ dropdown

Enter the total number of devices that you need licenses for within the ‘Quantity’ field

Select ‘Get’

- Once the licenses have been purchased, the app should then be linked to your MDM and will become available to distribute

- The process for this is dependent on your MDM solution, we advise working with your MDM expert to manage this process.

Important! When rolling out a new app to store devices via this mechanism for the first time, please be aware that it will install as a separate app from any apps already installed on the device. Therefore, ance the rollout has been verified as successful, we recommend remotely uninstalling the old app to avoid confusion.
